Project Objectives

CEAS aimed to develop a website that would:

  • Assist New Zealand consulting engineers in managing risks associated with providing professional services to the public.

  • Offer resources such as risk management guidelines, contract guidelines, case studies, and other useful information for members.

  • Facilitate communication with members through newsletters and updates on industry issues.

  • Provide information on insurance plans and the claims process.

  • Encourage membership applications and provide details about the benefits of joining CEAS.

MRD’s Approach

MRD was engaged to design and develop the CEAS website due to their expertise in web design and development.

The Development Process

  1. Discovery and Planning: MRD Web Ltd collaborated with CEAS to understand their objectives, target audience, and the specific functionalities required for the website.

  2. Design and Development: Utilising their experience in web design, MRD created a user-friendly interface that aligns with CEAS’s professional image. The website was developed to be responsive, ensuring accessibility across various devices.

  3. Content Integration: The site was populated with relevant content, including information about CEAS’s services, insurance plans, claims process, membership details, and resources such as risk management guidelines and case studies.

  4. Testing and Launch: Prior to launch, the website underwent thorough testing to ensure functionality, security, and performance met the required standards.

Outcome

The collaboration resulted in a comprehensive website that serves as a valuable resource for New Zealand consulting engineers. The site effectively communicates CEAS’s offerings, facilitates member engagement, and supports the organisation’s mission to assist engineers in managing professional risks.
